Inspiring Changes - How Dr. Elona Gaball Ignites Dreams Through Dentistry

by PracticeCFO | July 14, 2022

Here at PracticeCFO, we take great pride in our clients. We couldn't be more proud of all that they accomplish both in and out of the dental office - particularly their charitable endeavors.

Which is why we're thrilled to highlight the incredible Dr. Elona Gaball! She is the owner of a local non-profit organization called Inspire Changes, which aims to reduce the horrific impacts of human trafficking here in San Diego County. San Diego County is #8 in trafficking in the country and per FBI statistics, is an $810 million dollar per year industry. Anywhere between 3,500-8,000 women are trafficked annually in San Diego County alone.

So far in 2022, Inspire Changes has made lifechanging contributions to 12 women and donations of almost $80K. Not only are these impressive figures from just this year alone, but they are from the sole efforts of Inspire Changes. No outside resources were involved - this was all the result of their team's strong and ongoing ambition to uplift survivors, help them get back on their feet, and continue the imperative fight against human trafficking.

  • Mission Statement For Inspire Changes:
"We exist to create access to comprehensive dental care and associated services for marginalized and underserved populations: we come alongside others within our community in a joint effort to lessen the impact of human trafficking and the victimization of women through abuse and domestic violence. We accomplish this through making oral health and smile restoration services possible to survivors and victims participating in rehabilitative programs."

"We recognize and respect the immense inherent value of all people. We believe access to high quality care needs to be expanded to more individuals. We stand for a community that values the health and wellbeing of everyone, even its most vulnerable"

  • Personal Why:
"Women make up about half of the population. Growing up in Russia, with my sister and I being raised by our mother and my father in prison most of my childhood, has given me a real life experience of the challenges women face in the world. Being given an opportunity to live in the USA - a country founded on strong principles of freedom and protection of human rights has given me a sense of purpose and responsibility to create an empowered way for women to be in the world. Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are inalienable rights of all US citizens. Being a mother of three daughters I seek to be a part of the solution for the world where women are treated with dignity, respect and honor and can safely pursue their dreams and life goals. Women are created by God for love, creation of life, nurturing of children and serving their communities with compassion and grace. I choose to stand for all that God has planned for my life and the lives of other women being made possible. I commit to reducing the suffering within the female human experience and being the change I want to see in the world." - Dr. Elona Gaball
